    Caitlin Bassett was born on 16 March to Stephen Bassett, a Vietnam veteran and former TV and radio sportscaster,[1] and Judith Bassett, a manager with the National Park Service. She grew up on a horse farm in Maryland where she was an equestrian and sang in the choir. Despite an interest in theater, she never took part in plays in high school.[2]
