Narendra K. Gupta (September 30, 1948 – December 25, 2021) was an Indian-American venture capital investor and technology entrepreneur. He founded the investment company Nexus Venture Partners, as well as various other investment and software firms.[1] He was also CEO and president of Integrated Systems Inc. (ISI) for a decade and a half. In a career spanning over three decades he was recognized for his contributions to global technology and entrepreneurial ecosystems, and for venture capital investments in India.
Early life
[edit]Gupta was born on September 30, 1948. He received a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in 1969 majoring in mechanical engineering. He moved to the United States and received a Master of Science degree from the California Institute of Technology, in 1970 with a specialization in aeronautics and a Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1974 with a specialization in applied mechanics.[2] He was a recipient of the president's gold medal for his performance at IIT Delhi and later received distinguished alumni awards from IIT in 1997 and from Caltech in 2004.[1] He was also elected a fello

CID is an Indian police procedural television series that premiered on Sony Entertainment Television on 21 January 1998. The series was created by B. P. Singh and produced by Singh and Pradeep Uppoor under the banner of Fireworks Production in season 1, Deepak Dhar and Rajesh Chadhaa of Banijay Asia in season 2. It featured Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, Aditya Srivastava as Sr. Inspector Abhijeet, Dayanand Shetty as Sr. Inspector Daya, Dinesh Phadnis as Inspector Fredricks and Narendra Gupta as Dr. Salunkhe.
