Rashmi Shah is the group supervisor for the Water and Ecosystems group. An expert in microwave remote sensing, she specializes in using signals of opportunity reflectometry to study snow, soil moisture, and coastal oceans. Since joining JPL, she has contributed to ocean altimetry calibration and validation, led technology development for snow remote sensing using signals of opportunity, and served as project manager for the NASA INVEST SNOOPI mission. She has also participated in numerous other mission development efforts and acted as associate directorate technologist for JPL's Earth Science and Technology Directory.
